Cheryl Cramer Toto is a seasoned Chief Operating Officer, business head, and strategic advisor with over two decades of experience driving transformational growth across education, EdTech, media, and global consumer businesses. As COO of World Education Services, she scaled a $100M global eCommerce operation serving 500K customers annually across 30+ countries, achieving significant revenue growth while leading 300-member teams and executing a $12M digital transformation.
Her sector expertise spans mission-driven organizations and social enterprises, including her tenure as President & CEO of the Marketing Science Institute, where she repositioned the 60-year research institution and engaged Fortune 500 marketing strategy, consumer behavior and data science leaders. At Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, she led digital transformations for the multi-billion dollar K-12 education company, launched businesses from zero to $20M, led post-merger integrations, and drove record publishing margins while forging major strategic partnerships.
She has held multiple interim COO and leadership roles driving growth and transformation for education organizations from Pre-K through higher education, across for-profits and non-profits, and building digital products, SaaS models, B2C and B2B channels, and compelling customer experiences. Currently, she advises early-stage innovators leveraging GenAI, ML, and NLP to advance consumer education and healthcare solutions.
